A Closer look at DJ Khaled's star-studded album 'Khaled Khaled'.

ANOTHER ONE’. DJ Khaled is back with his 12th studio album ‘Khaled Khaled’ which features some of the biggest artists in the hip-hop industry. Being an old-school record producer has helped Khaled in having an insane reach in the hip-hop industry. As a result, the 14 track record features superstars like Nas, Jay-Z, Lil baby, Justin Bieber, Drake and many more. The album is named after Khaled’s full name (Khaled Mohamed Khaled). In addition, the album cover features the star kneeling down on a prayer mat with his hands raised up with his sons Asahd on the left and Aalam on the other side. Khaled began the promotion of his album last summer with two singles featuring Canadian rapper Drake on ‘Popstar’ and ‘Greece’. Both the tracks were absolute hits and peaked at no 3 and 8 on Billboard ‘The Hot 100 Chart’. Apart from this, out of 14 tracks in his new album, Khaled blessed his fans with 8 music videos with Popstar ft. Drake official music video crossing more than 196 million views on YouTube.

Even though Khaled has been a part of the hip-hop industry for a long time, he has gained massive popularity over the last decade with his producer tag ‘We the best music’, ‘Dj Khaled’ and ‘Another one’ going global. Starting as an old-school record producer, Khaled faced no trouble adapting to the new era of music. He has perfectly elevated his music for a new generation of listeners. In an interview with Apple music, Khaled calls his new album ‘ A winner’ since every track has a feature of some of the biggest names in the rap game. I must say, Khaled did not joke about it. ‘Khaled Khaled’ is now his 3rd album to go No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. In a video posted by him on Instagram, Khaled was seen shedding tears of joy after his new album hit No. 1.

Here are some of our favorites from ‘Khaled Khaled’:

LET IT GO (feat. Justin Bieber & 21 Savage)

Justin and 21 savage might seem like an odd collaboration but both the artists smashed their verses on this track. In fact, DJ Khaled had both the artist in a music video which had a theme of Adam Sandler’s 1996 classic Happy Gilmore. The official music video is as fire as the song.

I DID IT (feat. Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby & Dababy)

It is clear that there is no such thing as ‘too many features’ for DJ Khaled. However, this song is another banger with Posty hitting those high vocals in the chorus and others killing their verses.

EVERY CHANCE I GET (feat. Lil Baby & Lil Durk)

You don’t have to think twice if you hear Lil Baby and Durk on a Tay Keith beat. If you have seen our recent Instagram post you probably know that both the artists are rumored to drop a record together. It was obvious for Khaled to put them on the same track. However, doing it on Tay Keith production was a smart move.

POPSTAR (feat. Drake)

You have probably heard this song on repeat during quarantine. This is the most popular song on the album with more than 196 million views on the official video on YouTube. The music video begins with Khaled pestering Drake to collaborate for the song's music video. However, Drake calls in for favor and you can see Justin Bieber taking over it with a special appearance of Vine star King Bach.

SORRY NOT SORRY (feat. Nas, JAY-Z & James Fauntleroy) [Harmonies by the Hive]

Fans were really shook when they saw the collaboration on this song. Majority of the people were amazed after seeing Beyoncé on the same track as her husband. However, Beyoncé contributed a single ‘hey’ in the middle of the JAY-Z verse and 26 seconds of vocalizing with James Fauntleroy in the outro. Even though the song was decent, some criticized it for its lyrics. Nas calling himself cryptocurrency surface and JAY-Z rapping about being an angel investor on Khaled song was disliked by their followers. On the other hand, DJ Khaled called this song a ‘gift to the people.
